Hillside, Colorado is a quaint and historical township, preserving the ambiance and wholesomeness of a simpler time. From the modest elegance of the five cottages, the reminiscent familiarity of the old-fashioned post office and gift shop, and the historic Hillside Hall at the edge of the grove of Black Willow trees, this small town is an undiscovered gem. Located in Southern Colorado on Highway 69 between Westcliffe, Salida, and Canon City, Hillside, Colorado welcomes visitors where the Wet Mountain Valley begins to broaden, east of the stately Sangre de Cristo Mountains. With the harmony of nature and panoramic views, Hillside is the perfect combination of rustic and modern for bringing your family, friends, and guests together for a memorable event. Although our location is relatively remote, this lends itself to the many benefits of silence, wilderness, endless starry dark sky nights, and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.
THE HALL: For over 100 years, beginning in the glory mining days of the Wet Mountain Valley, the Hillside Hall has provided the setting for dancing, music, community meetings and other social events. We carry on this tradition today. The recently restored hall welcomes every event with vaulted ceilings, exposed timbers, vintage clapboard walls, classic stage, and antique oaken floors. The Hall can accommodate between 100 and 120 people for an indoor reception, ceremony, concert, or other event. Slightly larger events can be incorporated within an event tent on-site.
THE MEADOW: The lush softness of the stately willow grove, with its lyrical brook winding through the massive trunks, is a magical setting for a ceremony, reception, or outdoor band. The meadow features 100+ year old Black Willow trees, creating a canopy which veils its many alluring sites.
Each event and wedding is unique and requires individual planning and accommodations.
